The Marimba Group Playing Around With “Chop Sticks”.
Kindergarten scientists in Cohort 2 during the first two days of our “Pushes & Pulls” science unit. Students are studying how objects move. They have sorted “push or pull” picture cards, and used classroom objects, such as pipe cleaners and blocks, to engineer opportunities to create movement through pushes or pulls.
Kindergarten students have been studying how objects move during science, with a focus on pushes and pulls. In the attached video, you can see students using blocks, a bell, and a “push” of their finger to cause the bell to move forward. You will also see the students causing a chain reaction or domino effect by building a wall of dominoes and pushing one over. We certainly have some future engineers in our class!

Make a difference in the Bridgehampton School Community.
Join the Bridgehampton School PTO today!
The Bridgehampton Parent Teacher Organization organizes special events for our school and assists those in need in our community. Membership dues and fundraisers benefit all Bridgehampton School students from Pre K through 12th grade. The PTO plans and hosts events like the Scholastic Book Fair, school pictures, Teacher Appreciation Breakfast and all-school BBQs that bring together students, parents and teachers for a communal meal. We enrich the school experience for students by providing scholarships, treats, entertainment, books and prizes.
PTO meetings are a great way to get to know other parents and teachers while working together to make a positive impact. Get involved today by contributing your ideas, talents, and time to help the PTO continue to enhance the Bridgehampton School community.
Suggested donation: $20 for the year, but any amount is appreciated!
