Thank You Dr. Favre For Everything You Have Done For Bridgehampton

We Will Forever Be Grateful For The Opportunity To Know You,You Will Be Dearly Missed

Best Of Luck In Retirement

Please View The Goodbye Message From Dr. Favre Below

Dear Friends,

As indicated to most of you in discussions, I am not one for good-byes – or for being the center of attention – so thank you for offering to celebrate my retirement, but the Irish Good-Bye works best for me. An Irish Good-Bye means you leave while the party is still going strong!!

Thank you for the support you provided to me as your Superintendent, and then as your Superintendent/Principal for the past (nearly) 8 years. Finishing my career at Bridgehampton has been a highlight of my more than 30 years in education, and what we accomplished together is something that should make us all proud. I have delighted in the accomplishments of our ‘Little Engine that Could” – all because of your persistence, and dedication to our amazing students.

Thank you for your attention to student’s first – always- teachers, support staff, administration and Board of Education! That is the mantra that makes for amazing schools – and Bridgehampton is certainly an amazing school. Your commitment to our Middle States goals has realized many wonderful accomplishments, not the least of which will be a long overdue new addition to the school, Amen!

Thank you for your open lines of communication – I have appreciated opportunities for us to speak our minds without severing relationships – an important part of team building. Please continue to keep those lines open and honest with the new team, who have been a constant support to me as your district leader, and who are ready and able to continue the forward movement of the district.

Thank you for your friendships, your hard work, and your ongoing commitment to Bridgehampton as a family (dysfunctional at times, but aren’t all families?). You are an amazing team, and I look forward to following your progress from just down the road. I will keep you updated on any Horgan Household gatherings, as you are always welcome at our house (actually the name of an Irish song)!!!

Feel free to reach out should you need anything –professionally or personally – I’m here for you (contact information is above – be in touch – friend me on Facebook!).

I plan to continue to assist with the Middle States process through the next approval – so I will see you around!

I’ll say my Irish Good-Bye with an Irish Blessing:

May you always have...

Walls for the winds

A roof for the rain

Tea beside the fire

Laughter to cheer you

Those you love near you

And all your heart might desire.

Thanks for all you do (and will continue to do) for the Bridgehampton School Community. I adore you all!

All the best.
