Mrs. Hansen's Third Grade

Bio

I have been a teacher in the Bremerton School District for the past 30 years. Most of my career has been spent teaching 3rd grade at Kitsap Lake Elementary, as I have been there since it opened. So much has changed at KLE since I first walked through the doors in the early 90s, but what has not changed is the amazing culture and caring environment. I was awarded my bachelor's degree from the University of Washington in the 1980s; many years later I earned my master's degree in education. This was a proud moment in my career as I strongly believe in life long learning.

My husband and I are long time residents of Bremerton, spending the last 40 years in this community that we so love. We have been married for 42 years and have two terrific sons who still live in Western Washington. We are also blessed to have 3 adorable grandchildren who we see often. In our spare time we enjoy boating, skiing, walking and spending time with family and friends.

I have been so fortunate to spend my career in Bremerton. One of things I enjoy most about teaching is building relationships with students, parents and staff. The supportive and caring community of Bremerton has allowed me to maintain a passion for educating children and I hope to continue teaching for years to come.
