Greetings, my name is Julie Morse and I serve View Ridge as a literacy specialist. In this position I work with small groups of students focusing on phonics and reading fluency instruction using strategies and teaching methods that are based in the science of reading.

I have been a teacher in the Bremerton School District for over 20 years. I grew up in Tacoma and attended Pacific Lutheran University where I obtained a BBA in Marketing and a minor in a math. After working as a Market Research Analyst I returned to school at Seattle Pacific University to obtain my teaching certificate. I hold my National Board Certification in literacy.
