University of Waterloo visit
Branksome Hall Asia Grade 9 students visited the University of Waterloo and participated in a Centre for Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) Math workshop. Students were given Mathematical challenges similar to the University of Waterloo Mathematics competitions that our students can participate in annually. Following the Math workshop students were able to choose one of four Faculty tours in Mathematics, Science, Engineering or Applied Health Science. Each faculty tour was guided by a student currently studying in this field as an undergraduate. Grade 9 students were taken into different classrooms and buildings so that they could better understand what the day in the life of a student looks like.
