Hi! My name is Denita, and I believe that all students deserve to succeed—pure and simple. I'm a mom of three, a graduate of Rutgers University, and I've spent the last 17 years in education. Brainy Fam was born out of my desire to help all families have the best chance at success and at an affordable rate. 

But wait, what about schools and education? Glad you asked :)

As a former educator, I believe schools are doing their best to teach large masses of students all at once. This is called the traditional way of teaching, and it generally works. I know because I did it, and I saw students moving further along the continuum without proper conceptual knowledge. This would lead the parent to find tutors, enrichment centers, and more to fill those gaps. Most of the time, it needed to be more affordable, and it didn't provide the student with the 1:1 attention that was needed. In addition, it didn't include you.

Yes! You! Why do we want to include you?

Because learning happens everywhere! Your student is in school for 6-7 hours a day, but they are with you for the rest of the time. You are their number one advocate! By keeping you in the loop, we can more efficiently unpack student deficiencies and resolve them.
