The Student Council aims to give students the opportunity to contribute to the BrainBoost community in a variety of capacities at every level. It will contribute to everything, from ensuring the physical environment is welcoming, fun, and dynamic, to representing students wishes to the management team at BrainBoost, to organizing events and activities. The Student Council is the place to get your voice heard!
The Student Council is open to any and all students within the BrainBoost community who have a Club Pass. Students can attend regularly every week or even just attend on an ad hoc basis to help out with specific events or to raise specific issues. The Student Council will post its activities and upcoming events on the notice board so if something comes up that you are interested in you can come along and help contribute.
The Student Council will meet every Thursday lunchtime at 12:15pm in Pod Room A - the large classroom. Student Council members are welcome to bring their lunch and snacks with them to eat in this informal and talkative club. The Council will operate on a drop in basis and memebers can stay for as long as they want during club time. The Student Council will run all year long.
This FAQ section is specifically about the BrainBoost Student Council, if you would like to discuss the meaning of life, please go to the 'Debates and Discussions' club!
The Student Council will develop its own Articles of Incorporation. These are a set of guidelines that will govern the way we operate. The Student Council will be led by Paul, the Program Manager, and members will decide together on what it plans to achieve on a weekly and monthly basis. Everyone will have equal share in choices and any impasse will be solved through a democratic vote. The Articles of Incorporation are posted on the Student Council Club home page.
