Code of Conduct

Debates and Discussions Club is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where students can engage in productive debates, develop critical thinking skills, and foster a sense of teamwork.

Respect for Others: 

a. We will treat each other with respect and courtesy. 

b. We will listen actively when others are speaking. 

c. We will refrain from making derogatory comments, insults, or personal attacks during debates or discussions. 

d. We will embrace diversity and be open to differing opinions and perspectives.

Cooperation and Teamwork: 

a. We will collaborate with fellow club members in a constructive and cooperative manner. 

b. We will support each other and contribute positively to the success of the club. 

c. We will be willing to take on various roles, such as speaker, researcher, or timekeeper, to help the club function effectively.

d. We will keep debates focused on the topic and avoid going off-topic or engaging in personal tangents

Ethical Conduct: 

a. We will avoid plagiarism by respecting intellectual property rights.

b. We will maintain integrity by not engaging in cheating or dishonest practices. 

c. We will adhere to competition rules and guidelines as set out by the club runner.

d. We will follow the established rules and formats for debates. 

e. We will use appropriate language and tone during debates and discussions.

Confidentiality: 

a. We will respect the confidentiality of club discussions. 

b. We will not share sensitive information or personal details without consent.

Conflict Resolution: 

a. We will address conflicts or disagreements through open and respectful communication. 

b. We will seek conflict resolution through the club runner.
