Do your students know why they'll never catch smallpox? Or how vaccines keep them healthy? A short 15 minute film sets the scene by transporting pupils back to a time when smallpox stalked the world and introduces them to Dr Jenner, James Phipps, and the experiment that has probably saved their lives. The film is at the heart of four core resources and five enrichment activities. All the resources from the Why you'll never catch smallpox project use an immersive, cross-curricular approach to learning and are designed to developed children's enquiry skills in science, maths, English, history and drama.
