About Me

Welcome to my web page and team 6-1! I'm excited for this school year and helping you grow. I'm sure you will also help ME grow as a teacher...every year does. :)

A little about myself...I graduated from the University of Illinois, and I love rooting on my Illini. Safe to say, my classroom is decorated with orange and blue colors. Also, I am passionate about education and teaching at RMS. I never, EVER have a boring day, and the students constantly make me laugh and smile. During my years at RMS, I have also earned my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction (North Central College) and an ELL approval (National-Louis University). Within the district, I participate in various committees and contribute to curriculum work.

Hobbies? Interests? I have several! I stay active by working out and keeping myself fit and healthy. When I was younger, I devoted my free time to mastering the violin and taught myself to play a little piano. I also devour novels and create humorous writing pieces, mostly for friends and family. Speaking of my friends and family, they are the crux of my life, and on the weekends, I can be found spending time with both. Some guilty pleasures include Top Chef, Project Runway, Dark Chocolate Peanut M&M's and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, coffee, and watching my favorite sports on T.V. Go Cubbies, Bears, and Hawks!
