Haylee Krenzer

Haylee Krenzer is a Secondary Biology Resident in BTR Cohort 17. She grew up in Haverhill, MA and moved to the Greater Boston area last year to complete a service year with City Year Boston. Haylee earned a BS in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2018. While there she worked as a research assistant in a lab researching the effects of climate change on forest growth, studied abroad in Australia to learn about the effects of climate change on ocean life, and minored in education. After her junior year of college, she interned at an education nonprofit located on a nature preserve where she discovered her love of teaching science using kinesthetic learning methods. Haylee is excited to engage students in learning about biology in the context of the environments in which they live.
