AP Human Geography is an introductory college-level human geography course. Students cultivate their understanding of human geography through data and geographic analyses as they explore topics like patterns and spatial organization, human impacts and interactions with their environment, and spatial processes and societal changes. It is the expectation of the district that all students enrolled in an AP course will take the AP Exam at the end of the course.  A grade of a 3, 4, or 5 on the exam will enable the student to qualify to request college credit from their school of choice.  Due to the increased rigor of this course, students should expect to have homework every night.  This course offers 10% additional weight in the gpa calculation.
