OnRamps Geoscience is a college dual credit science courses offered through the University of Texas at Austin for high school students. If students complete the entire year of OnRamps Geoscience, they can earn 3 college credit hours for transfer as UT Course Code GEO 302E. OnRamps Geoscience: Earth, Wind, and Fire is a course in geoscience literacy. It covers the fundamentals of how the Earth works, and how its various systems—the lithosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere—interact to form the complex world in which we live. Students must earn a 70 or better in each semester to earn high school credit, but may be eligible for college credit with a 60 or better. It is possible for students to have different grades in the college and high school portions of the class. This high school course is also offered with a 10% additional weight in the gpa calculation.
