Credits: 1.0
Prerequisite: Algebra I and Geometry
Course Code: 03100600
Course Number: H015
In Honors Algebra II, students will continue to build on the knowledge and skills for mathematics from Algebra I. Students will broaden their knowledge of quadratic functions, exponential functions, and systems of equations, and will study logarithmic, square root, cubic, cube root, absolute value, rational functions, and their related equations. Students will connect functions to their inverses and associated equations and solutions in both mathematical and real-world situations and extend their knowledge of data analysis and numeric and algebraic methods. Due to its advanced nature, students will develop advanced problem-solving and symbol manipulation skills and develop additional concepts in natural log functions, conic sections, and matrices. This course offers 5% additional weight in the GPA calculation.
