Jacob Van Der Wilt

I grew up on a family farm just north of Middleburg, Iowa. I got married to my wife Alexandra Van Der Wilt this past summer. The things I enjoy outside of school are working out on the family farm whenever I can, spending time with family, and enjoy watching baseball.

Educational Background:

I attended Boyden-Hull Kindergarten through 12th grade. I then attended Dordt Unitversity where I graduated in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Agriculture Education.

Teaching Experience:

This will be my first year of teaching. I student taught at Rock Valley during the 2020-2021 school year.

Current Teaching Assignment:

I currently will be teaching Intro to Agriculture with Freshman and Sophomore students. I also will be teaching Plant Science and Animal Science for Sophomores through Seniors.

Other Extra Curricular Duties:

I am the advisor the the Boyden-Hull FFA chapter. I also coach the the 7th grade baseball team during the summer.
