No Pass/No Drive Law (KRS 159.051)
Loss of license or permit by student for dropping out of school or for academic deficiency.
16 and 17 year old students must be in compliance with the law based on academic and attendance data from the previous semester of the school year.Â
If deemed non compliant, the student's current driver's license or learner's permit is revoked.
Student is considered non compliant when he/she has nine (9) or more unexcused absences in the preceding semester or has not received passing grades in at least four (4) courses, or the equivalent of four (4) courses, in the preceding semester.
Driver's Learning Permit
To apply for the first time for a driver's learning permit, the student must pick up a School Compliance Verification Form from Ms. Emanuel.
This form will NOT be completed or issued by school personnel if the student is not eligible according to KRS 159.051.
