We are off to a great 2023-2024 school year in the Mustang Library.  Mrs. Kempf and I have been working hard to improve our library and the book selections.  

Here are just a few of the things we have done since July 2023:

• We were proud to win a $5,000 grant from the Laura Bush Foundation for American Libraries in May of 2023.  This grant allowed us to purchase about 300 new nonfiction books to update our Nonfiction Section.  

• We also spent about $2,500 of our Library Funds to update our Series Section with 146 books. Thanks to all the people who have supported the Mustang Library.  

• So, in the last 4 months, we have added about 410 new books and spent almost $8,000. All of these books now are ready for our Mustangs to check out!

• We have also begun the process of Genrefying the books and moving them.  This means we have to identify a book's genre, change the info on the computer, replace the labels of each book, and move them.  It will be a slow process, but we will accomplish it--only 7,000 books to go!
