Mustangs Lead--Mustangs are Ready, Respectful, and Responsible.
We are off to a great 2023-2024 school year in the Mustang Library. Mrs. Kempf and I have been working hard to improve our library and the book selections.
Here are just a few of the things we have done since July 2023:
We were proud to win a $5,000 grant from the Laura Bush Foundation for American Libraries in May of 2023. This grant allowed us to purchase about 300 new nonfiction books to update our Nonfiction Section.
We also spent about $2,500 of our Library Funds to update our Series Section with 146 books. Thanks to all the people who have supported the Mustang Library.
So, in the last 4 months, we have added about 410 new books and spent almost $8,000. All of these books now are ready for our Mustangs to check out!
We have also begun the process of Genrefying the books and moving them. This means we have to identify a book's genre, change the info on the computer, replace the labels of each book, and move them. It will be a slow process, but we will accomplish it--only 7,000 books to go!
