Background Information

Hello Wildcats! I am Miss Patricia Shirer and I teach 4th grade science and social studies. This year, I am starting my 29th year of teaching and my 13th year as a Waller Wildcat. In my past years, I have taught 1st - 5th grade all subjects and a K - 3 Enrichment program. Before coming to Waller, I had spent 11 years teaching at Central Park. My very first year of teaching was in Plain Dealing at a private school and had only 11 students in my class! I then spent 4 years in Webster Parish teaching at Union Elementary before coming to teach in Bossier.

I grew up in south Bossier going to Bellaire Elementary, Curtis Elementary, Elm Grove Jr. High, and Parkway High School. Upon graduation in 1987, I attended LSUS getting my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I am also certified to teach Kindergarten.

I have many hobbies that I love including reading, brain puzzles, coloring, riding horses, and taking long walks. I currently live in north Caddo Parish with my 3 horses, 2 house cats, and 20 barn cats. Yes, I am the crazy cat lady!
