When a new year begins, it sometimes feels like a reset button. It feels like starting over.
Many of us enjoy making goals for ourselves for the upcoming year. If it is a chance to start over, let's start with planning things that will make us happy and healthy!
I'm challenging you to make your own list of 3 goals for yourself for the new year. I have more than 3 for myself, and I'm going to share those with you below. Your list is YOURS - make it suit you. Are you going to achieve something? Are you going to eat regularly? Exercise more often? Do you have a goal to change something about your life?
What will happen if you achieve this goal?
Ms. Shackelford's 2026 Goals
Drink less soda. (I drink Zero Sugar Dr. Pepper - still bad for me!)
Gym 3-4 days per week.
Drink a gallon of water each day.
Read 1 book a month that is NOT school related.
What are YOUR goals?
Lists don't come easily to everyone, so I'm sharing something that I love to do to get my thoughts together: Vision Boards! If a list on your google form sounds boring, create a vision board. It can be on paper, cardboard, folders, or it can be a collage of things that you put together and printed out.
The things that you put on your vision board should be important to you: song lyrics, bible verses, pictures of things that bring you joy, words of affirmation that make you feel good about yourself, photos of family, etc. It is a bit like journaling without any writing involved!
