Principal's Message of the Week

Dear BHS Community:

While the third marking period ended this last Wednesday, March 31, we continue to review grades and missing assignments. Under normal circumstances, report cards would be released next week. However, due to these unprecedented times, the district will be delaying the release of report cards. We feel it is necessary to afford all students ample time to submit assignments: students will have until Tuesday, April 14, to submit outstanding work. Report cards will then be viewable in Realtime on Thursday, April 16. We value the efforts of our students and staff, and want to afford our students every opportunity for academic success.

When we return from break, please continue to use Boonton High School's Remote Learning Portal for reporting student attendance.

Today begins our Spring Recess; I wish everyone a relaxing week.

With Bomber Pride,

Jason Klebez

Community Efforts

Boonton High School Technology Teacher, Mr. Daniel Matarazzo responded to a call to action from MakerDepot to create personal protective equipment (PPE) for local EMS members as well as staff at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Mr. Matarazzo is working daily to help design, test, and fabricate PPE. Some of the methods he is using include SLA resin printing to create respirator components, FDM printing to create face shield headbands, and laser cutting clear plastic to create face shields and cotton to make face masks.

MakerDepot is committed to helping local communities during this crisis, if you or anyone you know has materials or expertise that you can donate please contact MakerDepot directly, or check out their GoFundMe page: https://bit.ly/343H22e.

Below are photos of what Mr. Matarazzo has worked on thus far.
