Completion of a New Staff/Staff Demographics Change Form is required. See the Secretary or School Technology Coordinator (STC) in your building if you are unsure if this form has been completed. Upon completion of this form, staff will receive:

Multifactor Authentication is required. Additional information on Multifactor Authentication can be found here.
Access to Boone County email is only available within the United States.
Boone County email should only be used for work related tasks: communicating with parents/guardians/colleagues and work related website accounts. A personal email account should be used for online banking, personal shopping, personal social media, etc.
Phishing emails are the easiest ways for cyber criminals to steal personal information and they are very skilled at making the email look legitimate. Use extreme caution when clicking on links in emails. If you don't know the sender, just delete the email. If you think it could be a legit email, contact the sender via another means to confirm: text, phone call, other email address.
When logged into the Chrome browser using Boone County credentials, all staff see the BCS Bookmarks folder which contains several links to helpful information.
District Programs Dashboard - Quick access to district supported digital tools.
District Program Log In Help - What products are available at my school? How do I log in? When will it be available?

Boone County's Instructional Technology Coordinator, Stacie Kegley, provides technology integration support. Feel free to reach out to Stacie Kegley for any questions regarding training opportunities, Canvas, Google tools, Infinite Campus, digital tools, or any classroom technology integration questions and ideas you may have.
Infinite Campus is the web based student information system used by the state of Kentucky.
All Boone County Infinite Campus users will click on the Single Sign On (SSO) button to log in. It will look like you are logging in to Office365; however, you are logging in to Infinite Campus. Log in credentials are the same as computer/email log in credentials. Remember, Multifactor Authentication is required since the log in is using Office365 credentials.
Staff may connect up to 3 personal devices to the wireless network. Personal devices access the Internet only. Personal devices do not print or access U drives. The Technology Department nor School Technology Coordinators support or troubleshoot personal devices.
To connect a personal device to the wireless network:
Select the BCS_Wireless SSID
Username: email address
Password: same as your network password
Students may also bring personal devices to school. Please consult with your school's policy/procedure regarding student use. There is a Technology Tab in Infinite Campus where you can see if students have met your school's requirements for BYOT.
All classrooms in Boone County have wireless access.
The district is 1:1 with Chromebooks.
Mandatory password changes occur twice per school year. Passwords can be changed at any time via the link on the Boone County website or here.
Staff members should never share their network log in credentials with other teachers, students, their own children, substitute teachers or anyone. Passwords should never be written down and left near your computer.
Information easily found on social media such as names of your children, pets, streets, favorite sports teams, etc. should be avoided. Create a password that is a phrase vs a long string of letters and numbers. How secure is your password? Check it here!
Boone County credentials should only be used for Boone County work related tasks.
Never provide credentials to anyone via email or random phone call.
Substitute Teacher Accounts - all substitute teachers have their own network accounts (including email) and Google accounts. Long Term Subs can have Infinite Campus accounts. Substitutes should never access the network or Infinite Campus via another user’s credentials.
Staff and students are able to download Microsoft Office FREE due to the district’s current licensing agreement with Microsoft. Directions are on the Technology page of the district website.
Phones - programming changes, name changes, troubleshooting, etc. should be requested via the Technology work order system. Each building/department will have a point of contact for telephone issues and that individual will submit work orders for telephone assistance. Button 4, on all classroom phones, is programmed with an emergency button the rings designated extensions in the building.
Digital Citizenship instruction is required by Board Policy and the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA). Resources can be found on the Teaching with Technology site, Common Sense Media, Google's Be Internet Awesome or by contacting one of the Technology Resource Teachers.
