Announcements and Events

The University of Cincinnati is once again hosting RevolutionUC, a student hackathon hosted at the University of Cincinnati. Revolution UC is a perfect place for both those who are new to programming and those who are well experienced alike to work on a project of their choosing for 24 hours. May students win prizes for their finished projects and show them to prospective colleges and employers.

What is a hackathon? A hackathon is a weekend event where students are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones while developing innovative tech applications for the sake of learning and problem-solving. At UC, our hackathon focuses on bringing together college and high school students in Ohio and the midwest for a weekend of learning, collaboration, and innovation. RevolutionUC is a fantastic learning and social experience for students of all experience levels.

This year, Revolution UC is scheduled for March 2nd & 3rd. The hackathon is free for all students. More information and registration can be found at revolutionuc.com

The Perry Initiative --

The Perry Outreach Program is a free, one-day, hands-on experience for high school women who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine and engineering. Students will hear from women leaders in these fields and try it for themselves by performing mock orthopaedic surgeries and biomechanics experiments. We’re very excited to announce an upcoming Perry Outreach Program on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH.

We are now seeking applicants for our Cincinnati, OH program. Participants should be women in grades 10 and up with an expressed interest in science, medicine and/or engineering. We would very much appreciate if you could pass this information along to any high school principals, high school science teachers or high school students you may know. Applicants should be directed to fill out our online application in advance of the April 4, 2019 application deadline.

Additional information can be found on our website: www.perryinitiative.org
