Get Set...

Step 1: Register

The first step of participating is registering. Sign up for a Pledgestar Account to set up your fundraising page.

The account has to be set up each year.

Even if you never ask for any donations, signing up for your Pledgestar account counts towards your class's participation goal!

Step 2: Get Donations

Ask your family and friends to sponsor you for the run. Donations can be a fixed dollar amount or can be per lap.

Check for employer matching! Lots of companies will match your donation (Nike, Intel, etc.).

Donations are not required to participate in Jog-a-Thon.

Step 3: Run!

Get on your running shoes and hit the pavement!

Kids run by grade level. Watch for communications about the event to learn more.

Students can practice running laps with the Bobcat Trail Club to get ready for the Jog-a-Thon, if they wish.

Go!

Watch for communications about the event.

Information about Jog-a-thon is going to pop up everywhere over the next few weeks. There will be information coming on ParentSquare, in the BSE and BSCO newsletters, in communications from teachers, on the BSCO Instagram account, and more.

Read the information carefully. There will be details about when your child will race, if there are specific colors for your child's class to wear, volunteering opportunities, etc.

Get background-checked.

Parents cannot come out to the track to cheer on their students unless they have been cleared in the new RaptorTech system. Get your application in as soon as possible so you can be where the action is!

If you would like to observe Jog-a-thon and have not been cleared (or were not cleared in time) you can watch from the the parking lot to cheer on your student.

Get Involved.

Volunteers are needed to help track laps, coordinate day-of activities, support the event, and distribute prizes afterwards. Watch for information about when to sign up for shifts.

Match your donation.

Many employers are able to match charitable donations. You can find out more by contacting your company's HR department.
