Buenos Aires, Argentina
On the marsh.
This is my third year teaching English at Bonny Eagle Middle School. Before I had my own classroom, I taught grades 6-8 in various roles as well as special education. After I received my Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in psychology and a background in communication, I travelled to Argentina where I lived and taught English for six months. It was this experience that inspired me to pursue my Masters of Science in Education from the Extended Teacher Education Program (ETEP) which therefore led me to where I am today at BEMS.
I do have other passions besides reading and writing -- which you can see from the pictures below. Travelling is one of my favorite things to do. I hope to see the world -- along with the many colors, flavors, cultures, and beautiful people that comprise it. Apart from travelling, I unwind with yoga, explore Portland, watch movies, and spend time bopping around with my partner, Nate.
In the windy city: Chicago.

Oh, and how could I forget about Ruby? Ruby, who is seen above and to the right, is our rescue dog who came all the way from Puerto Rico, where stray dogs are in need of help.
My sister. Can you tell which one she is?
