We are a group of officers and classroom representatives from Ekstrand Elementary School. Our job is to help make decisions for our school, share information, get information, and help students share ideas about our school.

"Every student has a voice."

Meals on Wheels Partnership

Ekstrand Student Council partnered with the San Gabriel Valley YWCA Meals on Wheels by decorating placemats for elderly in our community. They were a special surprise for Mother's and Father's Day!

Bubble Run Support

Student Councils is proud to support PTA's Bubble Run Fundraiser! We made posters to advertise the event.

Valentine's Events

Student Council raised money by selling water bottle/laptop stickers as valentines! This helped us pay off our leadership conference and our t-shirts. We also had a "Sweethearts" spirit day. Students dressed in red, pink, and hearts for our spirit rally.

100th Day of School

To celebrate 100 days in school, the school dressed up like 100 year olds! Student council planned an awesome rally for students to complete 100 exercises.

Board Meeting Presentation

Student Council President, McKenna Lopez, delivers her address to the Bonita Unified School Board. She presented on the events, academic updates, school activities, and athletic accomplishments of our school!

Holiday Grams

Student Council spread holiday cheer by selling candy grams complete with a card and candy cane. Over 800 grams were sold!

Western Day

Yee haw! Bobcats dress in their best western gear for the November spirit day. Our first rally run independently by student council was a success as student council taught the whole school a line dance.

Board Members Visit

Student Council welcomed the Bonita Unified School Board to Ekstrand! Students enjoyed sharing our school PRIDE through academics, clubs, and activities.

College Day

The bobcats are heading to college, if they decide to! This week we kicked off our college going culture with "College Week". We learned about how to prepare for college, why you may want to go to college, and learned about specific colleges around the country.

Homecoming Parade

Student Council helped San Dimas High School celebrate their Homecoming festivies with a parade. We chanted our Bobcat cheers and shook our blue and yellow pom poms.

Lone Hill Leadership Day

We had a lot of fun at the Lone Hill Leadership Day. We learned how to be leaders, fun activities to bring back to our school, and the value of team work.

Student Council Officers Leadership Day

The Student Council Officers had a meeting before the school year started to learn more about our jobs and responsibilities and to learn how to work together.
