4th Grade Recycling Information & Tips

To kick start this year’s recycling program, we are asking all of our new fourth graders to start saving their aluminum cans and plastic bottles to bring in starting Monday, August 26th. Below are a few tips that we have learned from our recycling program. Please take the time to review these tips before sending in any recyclables.

TIPS

PLEASE NO MILK CONTAINERS OR GLASS CONTAINERS

Rinse out all recyclables before you send them in

Send in plastic bottles and aluminum cans ONLY

Flatten all plastic bottles and aluminum cans before bagging them up

Remove all plastic bottle tops

We found that if the plastic bottles and aluminum cans were already crushed before bring them in, there would be more room for more recycling. We can recycle the plastic bottle caps for cash. Finally, Ms. DeAlmeida saves/donates the aluminum can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.
