During Term 3, students explored the big idea of ‘Life Cycles of Plants and Animals Shape Ecosystems’. Through guided research the students gained a general understanding of ecosystems, living and non- living things and producers, consumers and decomposers. Students worked together in small groups to investigate these understandings specific to their group's ecosystem of either desert, coral reef, tundra, wetland, rainforest or savannah. They worked in their groups to create a diorama of their ecosystem, demonstrating the key areas of learning.
