Any student who would like to spend time in the library during lunch will need to get a star on the back of his or her student ID card. Students will show this star to the lunch room monitor each day in order to be allowed upstairs to the library.
Most days are one star days, meaning that anyone who has a star on his or her ID may come to the library during lunch.
Some days are two star days, meaning that only students who have two stars on their ID may come to the library during lunch.
Why do we have two star days? Because we have split lunch hours, there might be days when classes will be in the library during lunch, and we have to limit the number of people in the library. We also want to ensure that the students who are in the library for lunch understand that they need to behave in a way that doesn't interrupt those classes.
How do students get two stars? Mrs. Croft and Mrs. Hale will give second stars to those students who are consistently awesome in the library. Students cannot request a second star, rather, they earn it by being aware of what is happening around them, being respectful, and following the West Way.
On those days, we will only allow students with two stars on their ID to be in the library. You cannot request a second star, your behavior will determine if you receive a second star
