Treasure Valley Math and Science Center Information and Application Process
Testing has been completed for the 25/26 school year - this site will update in December of 2025
*Please note that students need to have completed Compacted 7/8 before the beginning of the school year in order to apply to TVMSC. Compacted 7/8 will be offered virtually in The Boise School District Summer School from early June to late July. If you are accepted, and have not had Compacted 7/8, then you are required to attend summer school before starting in the fall.
*Parent/Student Informational Night: January 26th, 2026 at Riverglen Junior High at 6801 N. Gary Lane in the gym from 5:00-6:00 pm. Slides from Parent Night
*Boise School District students in honors 6/7 and Compacted 7/8 classes will test at their home schools, and teachers will send home a link to sign up for testing for interested students. After tests are scored, then students who qualify will be notified by email to complete the application form. All students who screen will be notified either way.
Older BSD students (those who have completed Algebra 1 or above)will be assessed using their current grades and assessment data and do not need a separate assessment and they can apply using the following link: TVMSC Application for 2025-2026.
*OUT OF DISTRICT and BOS students at all grade levels will be tested on January 28th, 2026 from 10:00-11:30 am with check in at the Riverglen Cafeteria starting at 9:45 am and testing in the TVMSC classrooms. (there is no virtual option for testing, but it can be proctored by a staff member at your school if you are living out of the state/country). Please fill out this Intent to Test Form prior to 1/24/2026. Out of district students must also have a completed Teacher Recommendation Form.
*Make up testing is TBD if needed.
*AM slots will be prioritized for in district and elementary students due to busing constraints.
*Placements will be offered mid March via email.
