MORLEY NELSON SCHOOL COUNSELOR

My name is Aly Mendiola.  I have been a school counselor since 2020.  This is my first year here at Morley Nelson.  I look forward to getting know all of the students and families of Morley Nelson!  As a school counselor, I get to help kids as they navigate through their early years.  Empowering them to believe that they are capable of being kind, empathetic, life-long learners, and so much more!  I have the privilege of having one of the best jobs around.  I teach lessons in all of the classrooms twice a month, focused on subjects such as academic success, personal and social development, safe choices, and future planning. I am also available to help students with problem solving and skill building, both individually and in small groups. If your child has a particular need, please reach out to me--but keep in mind that I am unable to do therapy in a school setting. However, I am happy to provide you with a list of community resources as needed!
