Head Athletic Trainer / Health Professions & Sports Medicine Instructor
Greg is the head athletic trainer for Borah High School. He is also currently teaching sports medicine and health professions classes. Greg is a 1994 graduate with bachelor’s degree in education from Northwest Nazarene University and a 2002 graduate of Lesley University with a master’s degree in educational technology. He began his career as a teacher/athletic trainer at Coeur d’ Alene High School from 1994-1999. It was in 1999 that he made the move to Borah High School and has been here ever since.
Bailey Hill MAT, LAT, ATC
Full Time Assistant Athletic Trainer/ Health Professions & Medical Terminology Instructor
Bailey has been an assistant athletic trainer at Borah High School starting in 2022. She is a 2022 graduate of the Boise State University's Master of Athletic Training Program. She has experience working with Boise State’s football program, as well as working at local high schools in the Treasure Valley.
Syringa Larson BS, LAT, ATC
Part-Time Assistant Athletic Trainer
Syringa has been an assistant athletic trainer with Borah High School starting in 2012. She is a 2011 graduate from Boise State University with a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and is currently employed by Boise State University.
Joanna Schisel MS, LAT, ATC
Part-Time Assistant Athletic Trainer
Joanna Schisel is a proud University of Idaho Vandal and a Boise, Idaho native. She completed her undergraduate degree and master’s degree from the University of Idaho. She was initially hired by St. Luke's in 2007 working for outpatient rehab and has since worked in various capacities within St. Luke’s: head athletic trainer at Columbia High School, intake coordinator with the Concussion Clinic, clinical athletic trainer for Dr. Kurt Nilsson, the lead of program development and operations for the Outreach Athletic Training Program, Sports Medicine Program Manager for St. Luke’s Orthopedic Service Line and most recently is the Manager of HR Employee Health at St. Luke’s. Joanna, her husband, John, her daughter, Evelyn (5) and son, Eli (18 months), love to spend time together outside in any capacity and stay busy shuffling between swim lessons, soccer and gymnastics. She enjoys skiing, cycling, and swimming.
Dr. Jennifer Miller
Borah Directing/Team Physician
Dr. Jennifer Miller is our directing physician and has served as the team physician for Borah High School since 2004. She is employed with Idaho Sports Medicine Institute. Dr. Miller is also team physician for BSU athletics. Dr Miller is a Boise native. She completed her undergraduate degree and the School of Medicine at the University of Washington, then an Orthopedic residency at Oregon Health & Sciences University and a Sports Medicine fellowship with the Congress Medical Associates in Pasadena,CA. Currently Dr. Miller is serving as the Medical Director and Board Member for Make A Wish Idaho. She was also the former Medical Director for Special Olympics Idaho.
