10th of September

Dear Journal,

When I was 3 years old my family decided to go to New Amsterdam to see sights. Mostly they wanted me to be a proper woman so we were off. It took a few weeks or more to get to New Amsterdam. My mama thought it would be best. She also said that I would be getting a sister soon too. I was speechless. We got on the boat it was unpleasant. Most people on the boat got sick. I just sat there thinking. The journey was long, almost all the people on the boat had motion sickness. It was a long few weeks. I really didn’t think I was ready for New Amsterdam!

I currently live near the wall of New Amsterdam. I do indeed like helping around. It's a bit of a walk almost everywhere but I usually can stand it. I live close to Leah but not close enough that you could call it a walk, more of a long walk.

I love New Amsterdam. I help with my mama's bakery and get paid not much but it is still something. I sometimes go around looking at shops and using my payment to pay for something to please myself.
