Bear Essentials 18!

Calling all you hot blokes of the Bear Men of Adelaide, Bear Essentials turns 18 this year and we are ready to put on a huge festival for bears from everywhere in our home town of Sydney, or as we are renaming it for our festival – Beartropolis.

Bear Essentials is an internationally recognised bear festival put together and delivered by the Harbour City Bears. In 2014 Bear Essentials will run from Friday 21 February to Sunday 1 March. We have put together the best of our local bear culture and are offering it up in 18 amazing events and diverse events over 10 days.

Of course we are bringing back all the festival favourites such as Wet Furr and Underbear, these are events that everyone loves, plus we have many more that we are sure you’re going to love. We’ve also listened to our interstate cousins and have moved Wet Furr back to the Friday before Mardi Gras so that everyone can be in Sydney to enjoy it.

The theme for this year’s festival is “Beartropolis”. It’s a clever and fun take on the world of superheroes and villains. We have plenty of adventures for festival goers to have a blast with over 10 days. We have partnered up with great organisations and businesses to help us deliver the best Bear Essentials yet.
