How does pop culture influence the way I feel? I have always been involved and intrigued by pop culture. I’m constantly keeping up with the latest trends and celebrities. This is a huge part of life now due to social media. Whether it’s the lyrics in music or an intense scene in a movie, pop culture always makes my mind think deeper into life. I am always interested in the deeper meaning of songs that artist produce, therefore in my artwork I tried to portray the deeper meaning of some songs. I mostly used colored pencils and markers. Also I have used some paint. Working with these materials help me bring intense color to fit the feel of the art piece. To research I looked up the most influential pop culture artists throughout history. I focused on artwork from Andy Warhol. Before beginning each piece I started with a planning page where I made a quick sketch of where I wanted everything to be. This helped me experiment with different ways to come about the piece. To revise my artwork for one piece I went back and decided to cut the paper into a circle. I also used photoshop to bring out intense color.
