School Navigator

Shelly Whitely, a representative from SAFY Behavioral Health, services as the School Navigator for our District.

Services provided by our School Navigator include:

Partnering with school personnel in helping students be successful in the classroom
Help students manage circumstantial behavior concerns
Offer advocacy, support and active listening
Connect to needed resources such as food and clothing
Request permission to facilitate target groups with issues such as bullying or self-esteem when needed
Attend team and IEP meetings with students

*School Navigators are funded by the Mental Health Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize and Hardin Counties.

*School Navigators may recommend additional interventions or screenings for a student.
