MUSIC at AMS
Mrs. Voll: I graduated from Archbold H.S. in 1999. I attended Bluffton University where I graduated with my Bachelors in Music Education and later graduated with my Masters in Education as well. My main instrument was French Horn. I also took private lessons on piano. At Bluffton, I participated in concert band, pep band, choir, brass ensemble, and horn quartet.
My first job was teaching 5-12 band at Riverdale where I taught for 9 years. I have been teaching band grades 5-12 at Archbold since 2013 and LOVE my job! I also enjoy conducting musical pit orchestras as well as playing my horn and playing in trombone ensembles with my family members.
I live in Archbold with my husband, Josh, and our three children: Dana (AHS '20), Brad (AHS '24), and Eric (AHS '28). I enjoy all things band/music and spending time with my family.
Mrs. Cobb: I graduated from Archbold H.S. in 1987. I attended Otterbein University where I majored in Music Education. My main instrument was flute/piccolo. I also took private lessons on piano and percussion. At Otterbein, I participated in marching band, concert band, wind ensemble, pit orchestra, pep band, flute ensemble, percussion ensemble and choir. I earned my B.M.E. in 1991. My primary focus at Archbold is middle school music, woodwind pedagogy, and folk instruments. I have been in music education since 1991 and have taught general music grades K-6, instrumental music grades 5-12, and vocal music grades 7-12. I have also taught private lessons for piano and flute.
I live in Archbold with my husband, Adam, and our four children, Emma (AHS'16), Sydney (AHS'17), Ivan (AHS'20), and Garrison (AHS '22). I enjoy traveling with my family, baking, playing in pit orchestras, gardening, crafting, and reading.
Miss Smith: I am the new Archbold Choir Director. I went to Waynedale High School and graduated in 2014. I graduated music school from Bowling Green State University in 2018 with a Bachelor's in Music Education- Choral Specialization. My main voice part is Soprano. I also participated in the Women's Chorus for two years, A Cappella Choir for two years, and Collegiate Chorale for two years. During college, I worked at Bowling Green First Presbyterian Church as a Collegiate Choral Scholar where I performed solos, lead my section, and subbed in for the choir director as needed.
I live in Toledo, Ohio with my two cats Hush and Jay.
