A little-known neighborhood gem, this site offers several fabulous areas for an intimate wedding. Whether you're nestled in one of its charming gazebos, saying "I do" on the steps of the former mansion on it's grounds, or under the eaves of one of the parks pavilions, you'll have a once-in-a-lifetime wedding-day experience with a backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.
What we love about this site:
Permits not needed for small weddings.
Sunsets with the Rocky Mountains.
Location: close to downtown Denver and everything that it has to offer.
In the spring, this site has gorgeous trees with pink blossoms.
Potential drawbacks of this site
The park itself can get very busy on weekends. Weekdays are your best bet.
Accessibility
Parking: ~50 spaces, with more nearby.
Vehicle type: for winter, make sure your vehicle has good ground clearance to get over snow, as well as 4-wheel drive for potential ice. For weddings held between September 1st and May 31st, note that Colorado has strict traction laws in place that affect what type of vehicle you are allowed to drive in the mountains. If you are planning a Colorado mountain wedding between these dates, please thoroughly read this blog post so you'll be driving the right type of vehicle. (Don't rely on the car rental companies to fill you in on this; our experience is that they don't.)
Accessibility: there are cement walkways throughout.
