This site has just the right amount of whimsy to it for a fairytale elopement. The gazebo offers a quaint backdrop amongst a forest of pine trees, and the brick path leading up to it is another touch that just adds to the overall relaxed feel of the site.

What we love about this site:

VERY reasonable pricing.
The gazebo is a great feature surrounded by pine forest.
It's only a short drive (30 minutes) from Denver, making it very accessible.

Potential drawbacks of this site

Reservations are only issued within the five months prior to the wedding date.
It is a popular venue, so availability may be limited.

Accessibility

Parking: plenty, but still encouraged to carpool.

Vehicle type: for winter, make sure your vehicle has good ground clearance to get over snow, as well as 4-wheel drive for potential ice. For weddings held between September 1st and May 31st, note that Colorado has strict traction laws in place that affect what type of vehicle you are allowed to drive in the mountains. If you are planning a Colorado mountain wedding between these dates, please thoroughly read this blog post so you'll be driving the right type of vehicle. (Don't rely on the car rental companies to fill you in on this; our experience is that they don't.)

There is a security deposit, but Blue Sky Elopements will cover that for our couples and only charge if we get billed for damages.
