San Francisco City Hall is one of the few indoor venues that we offer for an elopement-style wedding. It's world-renowned for its jaw-dropping architecture and is a popular wedding spot.
Unreserved Ceremonies
If you have 4 guests or fewer, they allow us to come in and do an unreserved ceremony there. This means that you don't reserve an area. Instead, you'd meet with your officiant and photographer a few minutes before the ceremony. They will take you up to the 4th floor, where in all likelihood, you will find a quiet spot to have an intimate wedding. (If you can't find a spot on the 4th floor--which is very rare-- then we'll go down to the 3rd floor with you and check that out as well.)
Your ceremony will last about 15 minutes and after that, your photographer will take you all around City Hall for shots of various backdrops--including the Grand Staircase and the Rotunda. We'll even take you outside for some shots around the area if you like.
Best times and days of week to have an unreserved ceremony here are Tuesday through Thursday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
Reserved Ceremonies
If you have more than 4 guests, you will need to reserve a venue. Reservable venues include the Mayor's Balcony and the 4th Floor Gallery. These prices start at $1,000 for a one-hour reservation. We will be happy to roll the fee for the reservation into your package with us and reserve the site for you.

Accessibility
Parking: the site DOES NOT have its own parking lot. There are garages nearby, as well as on-street parking.
Access from parking: you'll be walking through a major, metropolitan city, so sidewalks abound, but you'll need to be careful of the traffic.

Permits, Fees and Other Information
For ceremonies with 4 or fewer guests, performing a ceremony without a reservation is possible.
For ceremonies with 5 or more guests, you will need to reserve either the Mayor's Balcony or the Fourth Floor Gallery. These locations can accommodate up to 100 guests (but remember that Blue Sky Elopements has a maximum guest count of 30), and cost $1,000 for one hour.
