This site, located just to the north of Monterey, is one of the best-looking beaches in the area. It also just so happens to be away from most of the busyness of Monterey, too, and tends to be less busy in the summer months. Win-win-win!
Just a stone's throw north of this site, there's also a beach resort that makes for a great place to stay if you want to be married on the beach here. Not only that, but they also have a private reservable beach area just above this beach where you can have a private beach wedding with chairs, an arch, tiki torches, etc.--just ask us about it).
What we love about this site:
Great toes-in-the-sand location.
Fewer visitors to this beach.
Popular spot for hang gliders and kites.
Potential drawbacks of this site
Dogs are not allowed.
Though it's not as popular as other beaches, it can still get busy.
It does require a paid permit. See fees below.
Accessibility
Parking: about 45 spaces. Parking will be crowded on weekends, so we don't advise that weddings be held here on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. We strongly recommend carpooling.

Weddings are only allowed here from October 1st through March 1st due to the nesting of Snowy Plovers.
Up to 6 guests - The site requires a micro-wedding permit of $175 and we will add the cost to your package and obtain a permit for you.
The following days increase the micro-wedding permit fee by $125 ($300 total):

7-21 guests - The site requires a 1-hour permit of $450 and we will add the cost to your package and obtain a permit for you.
22-30 guests - The site requires a 2-hour permit of $550 and we will add the cost to your package and obtain a permit for you.
Weddings of any size with chairs and/or an arch - The site will require a 4-hour permit of $750 and we will add the cost to your package and obtain a permit for you. (Reminder: we do not do weddings with more than 30 guests.)
Event insurance is required, but you can be covered under our umbrella policy at no additional charge. In most cases, Blue Sky Elopements will also cover the refundable event deposit charged by the state of California.
