Future Ready Indicators
As part of the District's submission for Future Ready Schools, we must compile evidence to support our actions in each of the following indicators. There are three sections: Leadership, Education & Classroom Practice, and Technology Support & Services. There are seven "Gears" for organizing them:
- Budget and Resources
- Collaborative Leadership
- Community Partnerships
- Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
- Data and Privacy
- Personalized Professional Learning
- Robust Infrastructure
- Use of Space and Time
And there are a total of 50 distinct indicators. The full list is below, by section, gear and actual indicator. For each, the District and the MS must accumulate evidence of achievement.

Bloomfield's "Future Ready Pledge"
Mr. Salvatore Goncalves, Superintendent of Schools for Bloomfield Township, on April 17, 2018, signed and confirmed the District's Committment to the Future Ready Pledge.

Bloomfield's BOE Resolution
May 8, 2017
At the Regular Meeting of the Bloomfield Board of Education, on May 8, 2017, the Board voted 9-0 to participate in the "Future Ready Schools of NJ" Certification Program for 2018-2019. Below is extracted from the text of the resolution:
Participation in Future Ready Schools NJ
Whereas— The Bloomfield Board of Education first seeks to support the identification of a Future Ready Schools – New Jersey district team lead and create a team of FRS-NJ specialists that infuse Digital Learning across multiple disciplines including: math, technology, media, arts, science, language arts, and Career and Technical Education.
Whereas— The Bloomfield Board of Education will support and promote the development of individual school Future Ready teams that infuse Digital Learning across multiple disciplines including: math, technology education, media, arts, science, language arts, and Career and Technical Education.
Therefore, it is resolved that the Bloomfield Board of Education agrees to participate in the Future Ready Schools – New Jersey. We hereby appoint Thomas Atkinson, Director Systems & Information Technology to be the district’s liaison to the Future Ready Schools – New Jersey, who will report to the board upon the completion of tasks for the certification program.
We do hereby recognize that Mr. Atkinson will be the responsible agent at the district level to carry out the district’s commitment for its schools to participate in Future Ready Schools – New Jersey.
