I am thrilled to be a part of the fourth grade team at Carteret Elementary School. More importantly, I am so excited to be your child’s teacher. This year will be filled with many learning experiences. It is my goal to provide my students a safe and comfortable learning environment with educationally challenging, yet enjoyable, learning. I have high expectations for all of my students and I will do all that I can to help each child reach their potential. I look forward to getting to know you and your child, but first here are a few things about me.
I was raised in Bloomfield and attended Carteret School from Kindergarten thru sixth grade. I have immense pride of Carteret and many happy memories in our hallways and classrooms. After graduating from Bloomfield High School I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology at Ramapo College of New Jersey. I then attended Rider University where I obtained a Graduate Level Teaching Certification. I have experience working with children of all different age groups, backgrounds, and needs.
I am overjoyed to be teaching back at my home elementary school and with your child in my class! To help make our school year successful, please be sure to have the following items ready in September.
- A backpack that does NOT have wheels (it will not fit in our lockers)
- 3 boxes of tissues
- Lysol Wipes
- Hand Sanitizer (pump bottle please)
All other supplies will be provided. Please do not bring in supplies not listed, as it will be sent back home. School supplies will not be sent home for homework, so please be sure to have pencils, sharpeners, crayons/colored pencils, and paper at home.
