Third Grade

Dear Parent/Guardian,

It is my hope that your family is having a pleasant summer. I would like to welcome you and your child to my third grade class for the 2018-19 school year. As you may know, the first day of school is on Wednesday, September 5th. I'm sure you have many questions about classroom procedures, supplies, and third grade requirements in general. I believe good communication between home and school is an important factor in student success and this website will be a main source of communication, so I encourage you to check it regularly. You can also keep up with special school events by checking the school calendar.

As always, Carteret will be holding its Back to School Night. At that time, I will be discussing in depth the expectations, rules, procedures, and curriculum. I would ask that you make every effort to be there. It is always helpful for me to meet the parents of my students early on in the year and gather as much information about them as possible.

In order to get the year off to a good start, I have also posted our supply list. You will find that the list only has a few items. Most school supplies, including notebooks, folders, crayons, etc. will be provided by the district.

I look forward to working with you this year. Enjoy the rest of the summer and see you in September!
