¡Hola! My name is Lauren Booth and I am so blessed to be a Spanish teacher at Central Catholic High School. I think it is so important to get to know one another since we will be working together this year. So here is a little bit about me.

I am originally from Des Plaines, IL, a suburb of Chicago. I attended Elk Grove High School and then Illinois Wesleyan University. I majored in Hispanic Studies with a concentration in Secondary Education. I studied abroad in the Dominican Republic and student taught at Normal Community High School. I taught middle school Spanish for three years in Glenview, IL, before starting at Central Catholic High School in the fall of 2012. While at CCHS I have taught Spanish 1, 3, 4, and 5. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Illinois State University in May 2017. Therefore, I also help with some administrative tasks such as curriculum development and teacher training.

I also co-sponsor Interact Club and help run the ladies Fiat Retreat and the March for Life trip to Washington DC. In my free time, I enjoy reading, learning new things, praying, spending time with friends and family, working out, kayaking, camping, photography, and playing with my dog, Lucy. I also enjoy traveling and have visited countries all over the world. My travels have caused me to become interested in human rights and education around the world. I enjoy sharing this passion and my Catholic faith with students and working with them to serve our local and international communities.
