What's new in the library?

Dr. Michelle Roche visited the BES Library with Mrs. Besser's class. She read to them the picture book she wrote and illustrated titled Angus the Guard Dog. This book is based on her own dog who found his voice with an unlikely threat. Dr. Roche dedicated this book to her daughter Clara, a student here at BES. During her visit, Dr. Roche answered students' questions about writing a book and being a veterinarian. She also donated a copy of this beautifully illustrated story to our school library.

How can students access the library's catalog?

Destiny Discover is our resource to access the library's collection. Students can search for printed titles, ebooks, audio books, and interactive ebooks. Account usernames and passwords were given to students in September. Students in grades 3-6 will practice logging in during library class using Clever.

When are my library books due?

Check the library class schedule here. Each student in grades 1-6 can check out 2 books per 6 day cycle. Preschool and kindergarten students can choose one book each cycle. If a student forgets to return their books, they can still check out one book. Please remember to return library books when they are due so others can enjoy them too!
