To add as an app on a Chromebook:

1: Go to the three dots in the top right of the Chrome browser window whilst the page you want to add is open.

2: Select 'More tools'

3: Select 'Create Shortcut'

4: If you want the site to open in its own window like an app you can select 'Open as Window'

5: You will now see the site in the shelf (the icons on the bottom or side of your chromebook) and you can right click/ctrl+click to 'pin' the site - meaning you can always access it directly from the shelf anytime you want.

Managing Bookmarks

Bookmarks are an incredibly helpful way to keep your online life organised.

Here is a quick guide to managing bookmarks on the Chrome Browser (the browser we recommend for college work as it is most compatible with the systems we use)

1: Right click/ctrl click on the bookmarks bar (below the address bar) and select 'Add folder'

2: Name this folder something helpful! (like 'college links' or 'Physics info')

3: You can drag and drop any weblink into the folder by clicking on the icon at the far left of the url window and holding whilst you drag it over the bookmark folder

4: You can rename and reorder the bookmarks if that helps (and have multiple folders or folders within folders)

5: To amend or delete a bookmark or folder, just right click/ctrl click and select the relevant option

6: If you log into any device with the same Google account and select the option to 'sync' - your bookmarks will also appear on that device.
