Black Forest Community Church, United Church of Christ
"In my time here, what I have learned about BFCC is that it is a small but mighty church, that is open and affirming (meaning 100% inclusive), is not perfect (meaning, that this community is deeply human) but, most importantly, beyond loving. This is a congregation that functions more like a verb, not a noun and from what I can tell, is truly the hands and feet of Jesus. In addition, it is a place where your kids can be equal participants in congregational life. If you are looking for a place to serve, unfold the kin-dom of God and want a sense of belonging and to feel loved, you are welcome!" - Marta, pastor
BFCC’s overarching theme will be Advent in Poetry, Prayer and Prose. Meaning, we will collect a variety of poetry, prayers and stories that will be designed for you to think and pray a little more deeply about the season. Each week of worship (10am) a variety of seasonal literature will be shared throughout the liturgy of worship as well as sending out a Literary Advent Calendar each day beginning December 1. For young people the PRAYground (10am) will be filled with age-appropriate nativity sets and fun ways for them to create their own prayers and poems. Our Faith Lab Centers (11am) after worship will engage members even more deeply through poetry writing and communal art. We hope you join us!
Join us Sunday morning for worship at 10AM.
Fellowship following worship in Hardesty Hall 11am.
1. A PRAYground for young children, pre-K-5th grade to quietly particpate in the life of corporate worship, 10am Sunday worship.
2. Mid-Week Ministries, most 1st Wednesdays of the month at 5:45pm-7:15pm. Potluck and Multigenerational program.
3. Faith Lab Centers, most Sundays in Hardesty Hall at 11am. At the faith lab centers children, youth and adults can come...wonder, create and learn about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It is a place to be messy and experimental.

The Black Forest Community Church (BFCC) is truly the community’s congregation. Our congregation consists of people from Black Forest as well as many other areas, including: Colorado Springs, Monument, Falcon, Peyton, and Elbert, to name a few.
We are a member of the Southeastern Association of the Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Church of Christ (UCC), one of the mainline Protestant denominations; and made up of peoples from many different backgrounds and expressions of faith. Our worship is always scripture-based and Christ-centered. Our services are friendly towards those who are new to the church experience, as well as those who are lifetime worshipers. Holy Communion is celebrated during worship, usually on the first Sunday of each month, and anyone, regardless of membership or baptism status, is invited to participate. Nursery care is provided every Sunday during our worship service. We offer an informal fellowship with coffee and snacks downstairs in Hardesty Hall after each service, and we invite everyone to participate. This fellowship is an excellent way to meet the other congregants, and learn more about us.
For decades, we have also run First Step Preschool, a highly rated, Christian preschool with activities and programs for children and their families.
We extend a warm welcome and hope you feel a part of the family of God each time you worship here.
