About the Institution
Nestled on the banks of the river Bhavani, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology campus provides an environment for natural learning in harmony, away from the odds of city life. Bannari Amman Institute of Technology is an Autonomous Engineering College located at Sathyamangalam, Erode district, Tamil Nadu, India. It is a part of the Bannari Amman Group which is one of the largest Industrial Conglomerates in South India with a wide spectrum of manufacturing, trading and service activities. Bannari Amman Institute of Technology was founded in the year 1996 and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The institution is ISO 9001:2000 certified for its Quality Management System and most of the eligible programmes are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi and the institute is accredited by NAAC with ‘A+’ Grade. The Institute has an MoU with New Zealand Institute of Fashion Technology and NTU – Singapore for research and student exchange programmes. BIT offers 22 undergraduate programmes and 15 postgraduate programmes.
About the Department
The Department of Textile Technology was established in the year 1996. It offers four year B.Tech Textile Technology programme, which is accredited by AICTE, New Delhi. The Department also offers Ph.D programmes. The faculty members have rich teaching, research and industrial experience. The spacious laboratories are well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities in Yarn Manufacture, Fabric Manufacture, Textile Chemical Processing and Textile Testing. The Department has undertaken many sponsored projects funded by DBT, DST, DRDO, FICEA and AICTE, etc.
About the Conference
In the past couple of decades, the global technical textile industry has grown exponentially. Technical textiles represent multi-disciplinary field with numerous end-use applications. In recent years, there is an increasing focus on sustainable textiles, driven by concerns on preserving the ecological balance of our environment and implementation of the concepts of sustainability will play a critical role in the evolution of high-tech eco-friendly textiles. This conference will be an ideal platform for technologists, scientists and industrialists to voice their views on how sustainability can be brought in technical textile products and processes.
Abstract & Full Paper Submission
Abstracts and full papers from researchers, academicians, industry personnel and students are invited in the form of oral and poster presentations. Authors are required to send one-page abstract including at least one image or table and the full paper in the prescribed format attached.
