About the Institution
The Bannari Amman Institute of Technology was established in 1996 by the Bannari Amman Group, serves as one of the citadels of higher education in the Southern part of India. BIT aids to impart knowledge, teamwork, innovation, entrepreneurship, courage, sacrifice and duty which are innards of a meaningful life. It is an impressive campus situated in a serene surrounding at the foot hills of the Nilgiris Mountains encompassing a sprawling area of 181 acres with a built – up area of more than 30 lakh square feet green campus and presenting an exemplary illustration of corporate contribution to society. All eligible courses have been accredited by National Board of accreditation (NBA) and Institution of Engineering Technology (IET). The institution is Re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a CGPA 3.36 on four point scale with ‘A+’ Grade (2021).
About the Department
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 1996. The Department offers Undergraduate Programme (B.E) in Mechanical Engineering, Postgraduate Programmes in Industrial Safety Engineering and Ph.D. programmes. The Department has 50 highly qualified faculty members, out of those, one third are Ph.D. qualified. The department obtained a funding of Rs. 1.20 crores from various government agencies for research and development. The department has recently received Re-accreditation by NBA for 6 years and accreditation by IET for 3 Years.
About the Conference
In present scenario, the role of engineers/researchers/scientist is to enrich the societal development through green engineering for the health and wealth of human life. The objective of this conference is to enhance the knowledge in integration of advanced materials, modern manufacturing, machining process, pollution control, augmented reality, virtual reality and artificial intelligence to meet the societal needs. The conference provides a technical forum for academicians, industrialists and researchers for sharing knowledge, experiences and enrich the future of mechanical science.
