The Wachter Middle School Art Department combines art production, art history, art criticism, and aesthetic critiques. The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade art education programs are one-semester courses designed to further the art skills and techniques acquired in previous grades. Students will be challenged to use higher-level creative and critical problem-solving skills in creating all projects using the Elements of Art (line, shape, space, color, value, texture, form) and a variety of media and techniques. Art History will be incorporated into the projects (recognizing an art period, an art style, artists, or works of art.)

Art students follow the Positive Behaviors that are used throughout the school:

R: Respect

O: On Time

A: Accept Others
